HCI Care Services, ¾ Clinical Practice Coordinator, Southeast, IA
HCI Care Services, formerly Hospice of Central Iowa, is searching for a part-time or ¾-Clinical Practice Coordinator to act as a liaison between Metro-based clinical practice team and outlying service area teams to focus on education and development of Hospice RNs and CNAs practicing in the field. Responsibilities will include partnering with assigned territory in 3 main domains: direct mentoring on clinical practice; facilitating educational sessions or training opportunities for direct care staff; and consultation planning with clinical practice team to help identify training needs. Work will be autonomous and flexible, determined based on the needs of the assigned territories, and traveling will be required. Main duties will include direct mentoring to home-based hospice staff, development and onboarding assignments using established curriculum, consultation with chief RN and chief medical director on needs in the field, researching topics and new developments, assisting with curriculum development, presentations and hands-on clinical care. Must be a RN, BSN preferred, valid driver license, 3 – 5 yrs clinical exp (preferred hospice), some formal educational skills, and able to manage time.
This position can be based out of any area in Southeast Iowa, but will require an extensive amount of driving through the territory.
