Are you looking for a position where you can gain experience, enjoy working, and make a difference?
Our Green Iowa AmeriCorps Partnership in Mahaska County is recruiting a second full-time Service position for 11 months starting in September 2019. Check out the Green Iowa website to learn more about the open positions. Our Mahaska partnership is part of the Land & Water Stewardship Program, which is focused on improving water quality in Oskaloosa and Mahaska County. Our local partnership includes the City of Oskaloosa Public Works Department, the Mahaska County Soil & Water Conservation District, and William Penn University.
The full-time positions work to plan the next summer’s work priorities for the summer members, develop activities and events to take to schools and the community, host appropriate workshops, learn more about land and water stewardship and share that knowledge, network with other conservation organizations to develop more partnerships, build awareness of the program in the community, present to community clubs and organizations, etc.
We welcome recent graduates to consider this opportunity, whether in Biology, Business, Communications, Education, or any other major.
